The 7th season of 24 started last night. It's a 2 hour premiere and the second hour is playing tonight at 8 on FOX. I didn't watch last nights episode because I didn't want to wait an entire 23 hours to watch the second hour. It was recorded on the DVR though so tonight when I return from small group, I'll watch both episodes. I'm super excited! I thought 24:Redemption was absolutely amazing! My brother-in-law and I watched it like 3 times. One of those times was with some deleted material that Johnathan bought so I've seen some extra stuff, like the guy you thought was blown up by that land mine opened his eyes at the very end! That means trouble! I love Jack Bauer! He's pretty much my hero. Yes, I've even had dreams of him saving me from certain death. I hate people who say, "he's just a tv character." I know he is, but he's a great one! I also can't stand people who have watched only a few episodes or a season or two but they aren't devoted enough to start back at season 1 and watch it all. There's so much background story in 24. Some people who have watched since season one may start to call it predictable. I disagree. The only reason it may be predictable to those devoted watchers is because you have learned what 24 is all about. You expect a twist. You expect something unpredictable to happen. That's what makes it so great. Also, if you're able to figure out what that great twist will be, even more kudos to you! That means you've come to expect something great of the show and anything less would be dissapointing. For example, in season six when they told Jack that Audry was dead, I knew right away it wasn't truth and she would "come back to life" later in the season. Same with Tony Almeada who we will see in season seven never actually died. If it isn't specifically shown, don't believe it. And even then, don't believe it. After all, how many times have we seen Jack die? Like three? Anywayz, all this to say I'm so excited the season has finally started. Follow the rules! If you miss an episode, don't watch the next one till you've caught yourself up!
